By: Paula Polei Today we toast to one of craft beers most iconic styles – the India Pale Ale! Founded in 2011, IPA Day is an opportunity for breweries, bloggers, businesses and consumers to unite to share their love of craft beer using social media as the common arena for conversation using the hashtag #IPAday. As the top-selling craft beer style in both supermarkets and liquor stores across the U.S., IPAs are all about hop flavor, aroma and bitterness. If you’re looking to try a new IPA, here are a few of BOB’s recommendations:
  • Prism Brewing Company’s Felony IPA – This English / American hybrid double IPA has piney, earthy and citrusy hops that translate into an experience that should be illegal.
  • Long Ireland Brewing Company’s West Coast IPA – Brewed with centennial, columbus, summit and citra hops, the pale and caramel malts create a beautiful copper-colored ale that’s full of flavor.
  • The Lone Pint Brewery’s Yellow Rose – Named after a Texas Heroine, this IPA is massively dry hopped, providing strong grapefruit, pineapple and blueberry flavors and aromas. Don’t let the strong flavor fool you – it’s extremely easy to drink.
  • If you get a minute, join the conversation on Twitter with BOB while enjoying your favorite IPA today! Cheers!
